Your breath is one of the most effective tools you have for developing self-awareness and EQ. Your breathing always changes in response to emotions – usually before you are aware that they are heating up. Noticing those changes in your breathing makes you much better equipped to recognize your emotions in time to take control of them – before they take control of you.


Breathing is also the most effective tool for cooling down your emotions, gaining control, and boosting your EQ. More about that in a future installment.
